Joedy Burdett Responds to Niagara Anti-Racism Candidate Survey

The Niagara Region Anti-Racism Association has published my complete substantive responses to its 2026 municipal election candidate survey. The organization is publishing candidates’ answers on a rolling basis.

The survey addresses white supremacy and hate activity, Nazi memorabilia and public confidence, anti-Indigenous comments, consistency in municipal statements about international conflicts, and racial disparities in police use of force.

My position is straightforward: racism and discrimination must be confronted, affected communities must be heard, and public institutions must be accountable. Those commitments are strongest when allegations are verified, authority is exercised lawfully, and every person receives fair treatment.
